Zealot is open 12-6 Monday through Wednesday, and 12-8 Thursday through Saturday.

We are closed on Sunday.

We have rotating events every Friday evening from 5-8pm. During those hours we do not pour our daily tasting. Check our event calendar to see what’s coming up! Reservations are not required. If you would like to attend Friday night events free of charge, take a look at our Social Club. 


What you can expect at Zealot

Warm and inviting hosts who love wine and are absolutely thrilled to show you the hidden gems we’ve discovered. We’re not big on pretense, and you will never feel any judgment here. We’re here to answer your questions and be helpful whether this is your first wine tasting or you’re studying for your Master Sommelier exam. 


We focus on the hidden side of Napa and beyond. Most of the wineries represented in our shop produce under 2000 cases a year. Many produce under 200. For every tasting room in wine country that can accommodate a tour bus, there’s an artisan making a single barrel of this, or two barrels of that. Most of those wines never leave the valley, and most of them will be unfamiliar to you. We find those wines inherently more interesting, and every dollar you spend goes to a passionate underdog producer using the proceeds to pay their kid’s little league fees. 


We are a place built around community, and the evenings tend to be filled with wine loving locals who are as welcoming as we are. For a taste of real Napa, come by in the evening and join us for a glass. 

Daily Tastings

Classic napa tasting

a selection of two white and two red wines from classic Napa varieties (think Sauv Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) but from smaller producers. This is a way to taste classic wines of the Napa Valley, but from hidden gems not widely available. 

Under The Radar Tasting

comprises wines from California, not necessarily from Napa, and features grapes that range from well known (Grenache, Zinfandel, Riesling, Albariño) to obscure (Alicante Bouschet, Paseante Noir), and similar to the Napa tasting features small producers. It is less expensive because Napa Cabernet tends to be more expensive than Contra Costa Carignane, but is equally thoughtful. 

If you would like something custom put together, please let us know. We have lots of wine open at any given time, and we’d be happy to come up with something more to your taste, whether you’re hoping for all reds, something a little sweeter, or wines from abroad. Just ask, and we’ll do our best.
