Frequently Asked Questions

We taste everything before it earns a spot—no scores, no hype, no filler. The list leans California, heavy on small producers and bottles you won't find at the grocery store, alongside the classics that earned their reputation.

Especially for you. Zealots love converts. Tell us what you usually drink—or what you had on vacation that one time—and we'll find you something. No pop quizzes.

Yes—that's the whole idea. Browse the shelves, grab something interesting, and we'll open it for you.
Shipping and returns policy
-
We ship to many states across the U.S. By law we can only ship to states where we're licensed, so a handful of states are excluded — if your state isn't available at checkout, that's why. We're sorry, but we can't ship internationally or to P.O. boxes.
-
Rates are based on the total weight of your order and your distance from Napa, starting around $20. The best per-bottle rates are on 6-packs and 12-packs, so combining bottles saves you money.
-
Within California, expect roughly 3–7 days from order to delivery. For other states, please allow about 5–12 business days before the first delivery attempt. We use a third-party wine-shipping specialist and email you a UPS or FedEx tracking number once it's available. We can't guarantee a specific delivery date.
-
Yes. Someone 21 or older must be present to sign for every wine delivery. We recommend shipping to a business address whenever possible. If a delivery attempt is missed, we can't be responsible for the temperature or condition of the wine, and packages returned to us after multiple missed attempts will be handled case by case — we'll reach out to discuss options.
-
To protect your wine, we don't recommend ground shipping during periods of extreme heat or cold. If your order falls within one of these windows, we'll notify you and, as a courtesy, hold it in our cellar-temperature shop free of charge until conditions improve. If you'd like us to ship anyway, controlled-temperature shipping is available for an additional fee — but during a weather "hold" we can't guarantee condition even with that service, and we don't offer refunds on wines shipped during a hold advisory.
-
By law, we can't accept returns of alcohol except when a bottle is corked, flawed, or defective. We're also unable to accept returns for wine damaged by adverse weather during shipment or wine ordered in error.
-
We'll replace it or issue a refund or store credit. We ask that you return the unfinished portion of the original bottle. To start, email us at [EMAIL] with your order number and we'll send return instructions.
-
If a bottle is broken in transit by the carrier, we'll send a replacement (if available) or refund the cost of the wine. Please email us a photo of the damaged box, the broken bottle, and the shipping label — it helps us file the claim with the carrier. Once a returned/corked bottle is received, we'll refund the cost of the wine; if the original shipment arrived damaged or flawed, we'll refund shipping and handling too.
-
We can't accept returns on gift cards, food and perishable items, or anything labeled a gift or gourmet item. Please order these carefully.
-
Wines are sold as-is, and we provide as much detail on bottle condition as we can (photos of labels, capsules, corks, and fill levels are available on request). We can't be responsible for bottles older than five years from the current vintage, or for items marked as rarities, collectibles, or library selections — no refunds or replacements are offered on these.

Email [EMAIL] or call [PHONE] with your order number and a few details, and we'll respond quickly with next steps. If a return is our error, we'll cover the return shipping cost.
